40 Knots Vineyard & Estate Winery, known for their French Traditional Method, cool climate sparkling, has a new release with a significant message on their label as an ally of the LGBT community.
The creation of the pink bubbly and the label was inspired by anti-bullying and LGBT groups who work tirelessly to promote love and acceptance. Artist JP Brosseau collaborated with his nephew, Leo to create the label to honor the success of these groups by showing a “pink sun rising,” symbolic of society’s acceptance to allow each other the freedom to love and be loved.
On October 16th, from 2pm – 6pm, on the 40 Knots Vineyard Terrace, 2400 Anderton Road, Comox Valley, BC, there will be a fundraising celebration with the launch of the 2014 Levé du Soleil Rosé. The afternoon will feature Canadian folk singer and Juno nominated singer Craig Cardiff.
All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Powell River Pride Society, which was formed in 2016 to help share the message of equality, acceptance and understanding between the LGBT community and the community at large, through education and events.
