It’s the holiday season and there’s still a lot to do in the Napa/Sonoma Wine Country. So take a few moments out to celebrate the season, and check out two of my recommendations this week:
In St. Helena, Sherwin Family Vineyards is home to the Patriotic Pour.
My first visit there was spectacular overlooking the beautiful lake and vineyards. It was the perfect place to relax, sip, and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the peacefulness and beauty of Spring Mountain.
The tasting room projects the aura of a living room, compelling guests to have another look around—checking for signs indicating that they did not inadvertently wander into the family home. The courtly jesters preside over the cozy décor, which conjures images of guests relaxing and chatting over a glass of Sherwin Family Cabernet Sauvignon, favorite dogs snoozing at their feet. Depending on the season, visitors may relax in front of a hearty blaze crackling in the fireplace or stroll out to the patio for a view that rolls down the vineyard rows into the lake, its central fountain splashing over ducks paddling in the summer sun.
Sherwin Family Vineyards is a place to visit and spend some time—to savor the wine, as well as the lifestyle.
Holiday cheer is here in wine country. From kitchen goodies, crab feeds, brunch rejuvenation, Friday Winterfest, a masquerade ball, and Winter WineLand in January.
One of my favorite wineries to visit it Regusci Winery in Napa Valley. The staff are very welcoming which floats over to their fabulous holiday spirit. A visit to the Regusci family historic ranch you will be delighted with their Bordeaux varietals, lush gardens, and incredible views. In the summer months during harvest they have a veggie stand where you can grab fresh organic veggies. A stop here to experience their holiday spirit is a must!
